CAN filter with 2 separate CAN buses
The CAN filter is designed to connect multiple CAN bus systems together and allow only a selection of CAN messages to pass between the two CAN bus systems. This helps to keep the CAN bus systems separated and reduce bus load.
One application is linking the EMUS BMS system with external systems, transmitting only the BMS messages required by other systems. This keeps the internal BMS communication only on the dedicated BMS CAN bus, reducing bus load and the risk of interference from external CAN devices.
In addition, by using multiple CAN filters, a BMS system can be set up with multiple BMS systems in a so-called master-slave configuration.
